"The Stanford course is a joy to play. It is both beautiful and difficult, and requires you to master every shot. It is a complete golf course." Tom Watson ('71)

In addition to the outstanding Stanford Golf Course located on campus, the team enjoys frequent access to world class courses throughout Northern California including Olympic Club (35 minutes, rank #23), San Francisco GC (40 minutes, rank #37), Pasatiempo (50 minutes, CA rank #14), Spyglass Hill (1.5 hours away, world ranked #52), Pebble Beach (1.5 hours away, ranked #6) and occasionally Cypress Point (1.5 hours away, ranked #4).

Designed in 1930 by renowned architects William Bell and George Thomas, the Stanford course is located in the foothills above the university campus. The course is consistently rated one of the finest traditional courses in the world.

The course is steeped in tradition. Throughout the years, Stanford has hosted many important events, including NCAA regional and final championships, Pac-10 Championships, US Open qualifying, US Junior Amateur Qualifying, and a former Senior PGA Tour event, The Gathering at the Farm.

World-Class Siebel Varsity Training Center

Master plan | Photo Tour

Originally opened in 2008, the facility was designed by Robert Trent Jones II to be the finest in the country. The practice center goals include providing a facilty where every conceivable short-game shot can be practiced from a variety of grasses, uphill/downhill/sidehill lies, and where full shot practice can take place from tee blocks or to a variety of holes.

In 2015 the training center was enhanced with new greens, hitting bays, golf team building and technologies for training. See the updated master plan and new green designs by architect Jay Blasi.
